Pre-Vocational Training
Pre-Vocational Training at Ignited Minds equips older students with the practical skills, work habits, and confidence they need to participate meaningfully in adult life. Our programme bridges the gap between school and the wider world.
What is Pre-Vocational Training?
Pre-vocational training develops the foundational skills needed for work and adult life — including task completion, following instructions, working alongside others, time management, and practical hands-on skills. It is designed for students aged 14 and above who are working toward greater independence.
Skills We Develop
Our programme covers practical tasks such as assembly, packaging, and sorting; functional literacy and numeracy; communication and workplace social skills; time management and routine-following; personal hygiene and self-care; money handling; and basic community navigation skills.
Our Approach
Programmes are highly individualised and delivered in small group and one-to-one settings. We use task analysis, systematic instruction, and real-world practice — including supervised community activities — to build skills in a meaningful, contextualised way that prepares students for adult life.
Towards Independence and Dignity
The goal is not only employment, but independence and dignity. Students who complete pre-vocational training at Ignited Minds are better equipped to live more independently, contribute to their families and communities, and experience the confidence that comes from real-world achievement.
